“These stairs had significant rot, especially where the handrails met the posts. Water was running down the railings and collecting at those connection points, leading to long-term moisture damage.
The entire staircase was demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. To prevent the same issue from happening again, I redesigned the railing with a continuous top rail to improve water runoff and reduce moisture buildup.”

Finished the red oak with a semi-transparent gel stain to bring out the natural wood grain, followed by a protective polyurethane topcoat for a durable, polished finish.”

Swapped an outdated rail for red oak newel posts and handrails with black iron balusters, finished in gel stain and polyurethane.

Paneling adhesive had wrecked the wall. Scraped, cleaned, primed and skim-coated until the repair blended in.
Getting a house ready to sell: dark solid stain on the rails and fascia, lighter semi-transparent stain on the boards to show the grain.
Custom spacer blocks bridged the wainscoting so the units hang plumb, with twelve heavy-duty anchors and hidden screws tying them together.
